Pumphouse Theatre – 2140 Pumphouse Ave SW, Calgary, AB
WORLD PREMIERE
As part of the 2025 High Performance Rodeo
A roadmap to the disenfranchised.
A warning to the ego.
A delight to the dark curiosity.
Come tempt yourself by staring into the void of nihilism, societal pageantry, and egocentricity… ideas just as pervasive in 2024 as in 1866, when Dostoevksy penned this masterwork. Deep study has yielded a new interpretation of the narrative structure, dramatic limitations, and organizing principles behind Crime and Punishment, to present a Dance Theatre Clown event through which the embodied experiences of anti-hero Raskolnikov find new resonance in modern life.
